Questions

Questions and answers

If something is not here, write to me and I will answer it myself.

01

What exactly am I buying?

A digital PDF, downloaded immediately after purchase. Nothing is posted to you. The Honest Hour is a sixteen-page workbook for one evening. The OSTOYA Journal is a forty-three page journal for thirty days. Both can be filled in on a laptop or tablet, or printed and written by hand.

02

Is this therapy?

No. OSTOYA is a writing practice, not therapy and not clinical treatment. It is structured self-inquiry: questions in a deliberate order that help you name what you have been avoiding. Every product says plainly that if what surfaces feels bigger than an evening, speaking to a qualified professional is the right next step.

03

Is it only for men?

The writing is addressed to men, because that is who I built it for first and because that side of the conversation has been neglected for years. But the questions are human rather than male, and plenty of readers are women. Nothing stops you using it whoever you are.

04

How long does The Honest Hour take?

Sixty to ninety minutes, in one sitting, alone. It is designed to be done in a single evening rather than spread out. There is one extra page to return to exactly a week later.

05

Do I need to print it?

No, but it helps. The PDF has fillable fields on every writing area, so you can type straight into it. It also has ruled lines, so if you print it the page is ready for a pen. Writing by hand is slower than your defences, which is the point.

06

What if it does not work for me?

Reply to your receipt and I will refund it. No questions and no explanation needed.

07

Can I give it to someone?

You can buy it and send them the file, though in my experience a workbook handed to a man lands as a diagnosis rather than a gift. Most people find it works better to leave it somewhere he can find on his own.

08

Are the Polish products translations?

No. Godzina Szczerości and Dziennik OSTOYA were written in Polish from nothing, not translated from the English. The questions match, the sentences do not.

09

Who is behind OSTOYA?

One person. I write the products, build the site, and answer the emails. My name is Paulina Katewicz and there is more on the about page.

10

When are the suits coming?

Not yet, and I will not pretend otherwise. The knitted couture is the long-term direction of the brand and the digital work funds its development. Everyone on the list hears first.

Correspondence

New work, first

A few times a year I write when something real is ready: a new piece of work, an essay from the desk, and one day the first suits. You hear before anyone else, always, and never more often than that.

Never sold, never shared. Leave whenever you wish.
